TWS is just beginning its journey into the Blogosphere. In addition to communicating about events directly related to TWS, our group hopes this blog will become a repository for new and exiting developments in topics related to furthering support for women in all stages of academia, and science.
As our inaugural information dissemination post, let us direct your attention to a list of "Women in Science and Engineering: 12 Must-Read Bloggers" compiled by The National Academy of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. This list highlights 12 female bloggers who write on all aspects of life as a woman in science, from day to day trials of academia to elegant outreach work intended to disseminate scientific results to diverse communities.
Blogging has become an increasingly important medium for science communication, particularly among women. Find some interesting information and tips about starting your own blog in this article from Nature's Blog!
Check it out, and if you follow a blog that covers issues related to the mission of TWS but is not on this list, please write us a comment with the web-link!

Welcome to the Tiger Women in Science Blog!
Welcome
to the Tiger Women in Science Blog!
Tiger Women in Science (TWS) seeks to support graduate women in
science disciplines at the University of Missouri by fostering communication,
facilitating female mentorship, and encouraging collaboration between women at
different career stages in academia.
Many of you have heard of plans for TWS by word of mouth thus far. From now on, this blog will serve as the main communication interface for TWS, and
is where we will post information about upcoming events, useful resources from
sources within and beyond the University of Missouri, and periodical invited
and/or submitted posts on topics of interest to the group.
